Narration In Favor Of Books The Hunted (Vampire Huntress #3)
Each millennium brings a new Neteru, a vampire huntress whose mission is to vanquish evil from the world. This millennium's savior has come in the form of Damali Richards, a hip-hop diva with the heart of a warrior and an attitude to match. But a war in Hell has cost Damali both her powers and her past love, Carlos Rivera. Still, Damali can't let her grief stand in her way. Several gruesome deaths, starting with an American research team, have come to Damali's attention in Brazil. The nature of the deaths leads Damali to believe that the killer is anything but human...Unknown to Damali, the life of Master Vampire Carlos Rivera was saved by a most unlikely group: a band of monks also dedicated to fighting the Dark Realm. In exchange, they want Carlos to help stop the inhuman murders plaguing Brazil-and they will use Damali as bait if they have to. Reunited, Damali and Carlos give in to the erotic passion they have fought for so long. Together, they are a powerful force. But Damali has made a terrifying enemy who won't rest until the beautiful Neteru is dead...

Interesting series...potentially 4 stars. This is a very good story/concept.. I just wish that that the author would get out of her own way. Incredible attention to detail, talented wordsmith; however, the story gets hijacked by too much detail that the main story gets lost. The main characters are interesting and I want to see where the author is going with the story; however, there are too many times while reading that I am saying to myself " WTF" ...not enough hours in the day from that. After the her vampire lover dies while saving her, Damali goes into a depression and becomes "blind" to her gifts as a vampire hunter. But Carlos isn't dead. Resurrected by the monks he is now a master vampire and takes over the territory of the vampire who tried to kill them.Problems are brewing in Brazil, which is in Carlos' territory. It appears that another Neteru is around and something is killing people by tearing them apart. Marlene needs to call on one of her old lovers for help.I really
What a great series this is! I cant wait to jump into the next one!

This series is very good. While it doesn't get the love that Sookie Stackhouse, Lestat, Anita Blake, Buffy and countless others get, it is just as good or better. These books would make a beautiful movie or series AND have the most DIVERSE cast that the world has ever seen!!! If hope Ms. Banks brings these stories to Hollywood (or HBO or Showtime) and if she ever needs a script writer, just send it my way!!!
Somewhat of a slow start, but got back in swing of story quickly. Long book - 565 pages. Enthralling.
So we open up knowing that Damali & her gang are depressed. I'm not entirely sure why they're all depressed they just kind of are. I think it's because they escaped from the tunnels of hell but Carlos a vampire who none of them knew didn't. This also really depresses Damali who expresses this by having a random vampire kill, just because and decides to have a reunion with an old friend, drink booze and spend some time reminiscing and being depressedWe know they're depressed because they
This book was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!Vampires, Were-humans, Were-demons, the 7 levels of Hell, an ancient Amazon mother-seer who thinks she is the Neteru, the continuing war between light and dark, battles, bloodshed, death, sex, love, lessons and choices, this book has everything!Carlos continues to burn both ends against the middle, hoping against hope that no one will catch him while he struggles to make his choice between light and dark. He was marked as dark well before he became a Master Vampire,
