Overall GreatIt was a little slow to start, but it had a superb ending. I was disappointed there was so much focus on historical drama and not more on the fantasy, but it was still a great book.

When this book passed through my till at work, I was intrigued by the beautiful cover art. I totally expected another vampire romance novel. I casually flipped to the back cover and, through a supreme effort of will, managed to stifle my laughter until after the customer left. I immediately raced to the shelf to find another copy and, sure enough, the hero on the cover is . . . the King of Unicorns.If there exists a less sexual mythic beast than the unicorn, I'm not aware of it. Not normally into fantasy but I liked this. The last chapter wa a little "wrap it up and alot of info" but it made me want to read the next book....and find the 1st one.

It started off okay, but once that boy said something about used to be a unicorn or "I was something magnificent", I dropped it. It's just so unrealistic even for a fantasy book. Not knowing how to talk then after a bear story he all of a sudden has a VERY wide vocabulary.Maybe next time. Nothing caught me here, but maybe it wasn't time for me to read this book.
