Well translated and nice pick of Nietzche's work. I was happy to read this after reading Zarathustra. One is quickly immersed into Nietzche's mindset on the different topics and can comprehend his (then) novel views.

This is an excellent edition of the key Nietzsche books, not too large to handle and carry comfortably, and with notes that are helpful and informative without interfering with enjoyment. This was a hard book to read, there is nothing basic about these writings, however, it was also beautifully written. I can definitely see the influence Nietzsche had on Yukio Mishima, not just in terms of philosophy, but also in the downright literary, beautiful metaphors.
