I didn't particularly care for the art from panel one and really didn't know how much hope to have for the issue. First impressions and all that, you know.Well, that turned out to be quite a good story. Seeley did a fine job of telling a tale that was exciting enough to make me forget my lack of appeal for the art and more than made up for it with character development and emotional moments.But... I want a BatCat baby!

Ras al Ghul returns to have a heart-to-heart with his grandson, Damian. Once upon a time, Ras thought Bruce Wayne would be the heir apparent to his criminal empire, but now that Batman has turned his back on Talia for good, Ras wants to know if Damian Wayne will honor his mother by stepping into the family business at last.
I really wasn't expecting much from these one shots but decided to buy them anyway coz I wanna read all the wedding stuff and ended but being very surprised to find some of the best character work I have ever seen for Damian. I've never been a big fan of the character but have found myself coming around on him a lot in the last two years and this has only added to that momentum. I love all the stuff done here showing him being a very real kid dealing with the fact that one of his parents is
Robin. Damian was acting out? Selina was funny being a little uncomfortable but they made a deal and all was good. Who knees Robin could have so much demons still? Well, who am I kidding, he was raised to be a murderer. But he isn't. Thankfully.
The entire reason I jumped on this series is that the first issue is about Robin and the second issue is about Nightwing, but I guess that's proof that DC's advertising campaign is working.I feel so vindicated by this comic, because it outright addressed the fact that Damian is really insecure rather than just implying it. And it did it so well. (view spoiler)[Whatever he was drugged with gave a solid form to his subconcious fears. Also, bonus points for the tiny Nightwing on his shoulder
