Frostbite: The Graphic Novel (Vampire Academy: The Graphic Novel #2)
A Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir's on high alert, and the Academy whisks its students away on a mandatory Holiday ski trip. But the glittering winter landscape and posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back at the Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose - and her heart - are in more danger than she could have imagined.
How did I miss this? The cover looks bad-ass! Go Rose and Christian!
The storyline moved a little fast but then maybe that's the way it happens in graphic novel. It was my first graphic novel, and I just read the final fight 'cause that's where I had left the novel. But on any case, they had perfectly depicted Rose, Dimitri, Lisa or almost any other character. Though the strigois looked kinda funny and too unrealistic, they did an amazing work with Adrian freaking Ivashkov!I was already in love with that guy after the series, and watching him the beautiful aura,

I don't know if it's just because the contractions are ruining my focus or what, but I didn't enjoy this edition as much as earlier books in the Vampire Academy series. It's fun to see the characters come to life through the art, but I'm also feeling like a lot of detail is being left out thinking back on the full books and how my imagination would run wild with it when I first read the series. Actually kind of makes me want to go back and read the originals.
The Graphic Novel book two is action packed. The characters are looking over their shoulders for Strigoi, (Which I have to add is amazingly drawn.) This plot is well thought out and planed. I enjoyed the art and helped bring the story to life. My favorite part of this book would have to be how the characters relationships develop and grow. My favorite relationship is Dimitri and Rose and their forbidden love. I like their playful, witty conversation. Lissa and Christian relationship is so cute.
I AM SO EXCITED! I ordered it off of Amazon a few days ago and it should be here within the week! I am totally obsessed with this series, and I know, I know for a fact, that this graphic novel will be just as awesome as the first one! :D I can hardly wait for the movie in 2013, but still, even then, I am going to be criticizing it so much because of how many times I've read the book, and the book series in general. However, as soon it's out, I'm going to go ape and buy tickets. I am so excited!
