Not quite as good as the first one but still interesting. Im hoping that everything starts to tie together in the final book but Im not sure. I do want to finish the series now that Ive started, but probably wont be worth a reread.Rye set out on adventure with two purposes: stop the monstrous skimmer attacks on his home city of Weld, and recover his two older brothers, who left before him with the same mission and haven't been seen since. Rye's brother Dirk is now safe, but Sholto is still lost. Determined to recover Sholto and, if possible, end the skimmer attacks on Weld for good, Rye sets off through the second of the three Doors, the silver door. What mysteries await behind the Door that beckons with knowledge,
I absolutely love this book, though sometimes it was hard for me to understand the conversations I still understood the majority of the conversations. Now there is going to be a bit of some spoilers in this review. At first I HATED Bird, but as I learn she is a relative of FitzFee I almost instantly liked her. And in my opinion Sholto is nearly my favourite character -second to Rye or Sonia-. I loved this book because its a thrilling read and it really grabs my attention because I guess I like

A fast paced sequel to The Golden Door, Rye and Sonia continue their quest to find Rye's other brother Sholto - who they think chose to go through the Silver Door - and then defeat the enemy who is sending creatures to destroy their kingdom. We spend more time with the superb cast of characters met in the first book, and the youngest - Rye and Sonia - once again demonstrate the greatest courage and wisdom. But there's wisdom to be learned from the others too, like the humility to admit one's
Anyone who likes fantasy and the amazing Deltora Quest series, this is the book for you! Read 'The Golden Door' first though.
More fantastic beasts, hostile environments, strange characters, narrow escapes, and daring rescues! For some reason it takes me a while to pick up each new book, even though I know I'll enjoy it and it's been staring me in the face for days! I'm reluctant for the series to end, even though I can't wait to discover how it turns out. What's behind door #3? Time will tell!
Just reviewing Emily's books make me realise how much I loved these books
