With his new status as a villain, Red Hood plans to take down Gotham's underworld from the inside. Although DC's Rebirth line-up has completely changed my favourite books from the publisher, I still wasn't prepared for the successful...well, Rebirth of Red Hood and the Outlaws. Hell, I refused to believe the single issue readers who told me that I needed to give Dark Trinity a chance, but ultimately they were right.Writer Scott Lobdell brings together the unlikely trio of Red Hood, Artemis and Bizarro in a natural and entertaining way, while also focusing on Jason Todd's life and his troubledA really fun series! The Dark Trinity as a whole is really interesting to me, and I like the direction this series takes with Bizarro (him am funny). I believe the next volume focuses more on Artemis, so that should be pretty cool when it comes out!
So ratings be around 3.75 or 3.8 and this was a nice read though as I was playing games on my PS4 naturally reading had to suffer a bit. But now I am done with this tale of three unlikely allies who start working together one by one and finally realise the name of the book. After seeing Jason Todd in the Legends TV series it was fun to read his story as well and it was full of his conflict with Batman and his own history lot of flashbacks. It was nice and now I will move on to other graphic

What started as an amazing way to follow Jason Todds character after he is risen from the dead, quickly lost its point and purpose. There are so many possible ways to explore Jasons character and I would have loved to see writers focus more on that. Who he is, what hes been through and how it will shape him. While I really enjoy this series I just really want writers to explore Jasons character in more depth. His past trauma and everything that hes been through could make for some amazing stories
Not as bad as I thougth it would be (second half at least). World: I liked the art, and yes I'm going to compare this start of series with Lobdell's start of series in the New52. The art there was also good but where that was just a sexist 90s comic wet dream in 2012 this new version (also good art) is much more muted and in my opinion pretty good when the splash pages go big. The world building here is solid for a Rebirth title, the reboot but not a reboot does a good job at creating the world
The perfect opening comic for my favorite anti-hero. I really liked the first Red Hood and the Outlaws series by Scott Lobell, but I kind of liked this one more just because of the changing but improving relationship between Jason and Bruce and Jasons growth as a character. Cant wait to continue the series.
Ok, so this wasn't perfection, but this is definitely one of the few Rebirth titles I've read that I'm going to keep up with if I can.Even though this is volume 1, if you have little to no idea who Jason Todd/Red Hood is, then you might want to do a bit of research before you pick this up.The cheap version is this: Jason was the second Robin (after Dick Grayson left to become Nightwing). Sadly, he was an annoying character...which resulted in fans voting to kill him off. I know! Harsh, right?!
