I'm always on the lookout for a good holiday romance, and "A Christmas Bond" fits the bill. I had the opportunity to read an advanced readers copy this past weekend in exchange for an honest review, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Author Lee Tobin McClain sets her characters in Pittsburgh. Readers familiar with Western Pennsylvania will immediately recognize the details that root the story in the region, along with a bit of the main character's back story that was pulled from local

I must admit that I was a bit confused by the cover of this story because I had downloaded the prequel to it and it had the same cover. The prequel is also about John Moretti and his first love, Emily. It sets the stage for this story, A Christmas Bond. John is now the head of the Covenant School where he helps teen boys try to rebuild their lives that border on juvenile detention. He teaches them job skills, manners, and how to make good choices. Still the teens are often on the edge of falling

This is a great story! I loved the tale and found it very hard to put down. It shows the bond between the boys and their teacher. It teaches about forgiveness and trust and that people can change their ways. I really enjoyed this novella. It was a fun and quick read with a heartwarming story line and a great cast of characters. It was also a wonderful reminder of how God can transform troubled lives. It's a wonderful start to a series that I definitely look forward to reading. I was given ab e-book copy in return for an honest review.

John Moretti enjoys his job mentoring young men who's last chance is h is Charter school. His next door neighbor helps him out however she can. Her daughter, though is a different story! Annie had a terrible experience when she was younger and can not stand having these delinquents so close to her grandmother! Then when their baby Jesus goes missing, she knows she has to put an end to it. But she's very attracted to their guardian...This was such a sweet story! It focused, of course, around John

I feel like I got to know and be invested in the main characters. It is only a novella, and the ending is wrapped up quickly and tightly, but I liked the story and didn't feel it to be too preachy and I enjoyed the Christian undertones.
