Ilustration During Books Flight of the Raven (The Ravenwood Saga #2)
After reading it for the second time I believe I'm ready to review this beauty. So... behold the masterpiece. I shall never recover. 💔 This book has stolen my heart in so many ways. Priceless.I loved this so much more then Flight of the Raven, and I can't wait for Cry of the Raven, which will probably be my favorite. ^.^
Let's talk about this book. How much I loved it, and why you'll love it too.
First off the setting was absolutely gorgeous. And the map. *gasps* So beautiful. I could picture everything so much better then in Flight of the Raven. The ocean and sand was magnificent.... *happy sigh*
Details ~ Oh my. I loved them so much. I just can't-- *fangirl mode* -- THEY WERE EPIC, AND TOUCHED MY DEAR LITTLE HEART. 😍 The forests, the sky, the dreamscape, the ocean, the people, the castle, the courtyards...etc.
Plot ~ Unexpected tragedy. The ending gave me goosebumps, and I might have cried, which isn't abnormal. xD There were a couple slow moments...but mainly cuz I wanted it to be Damien and Selene's perspective the whole time. Lots of romantic action...which I found absolutely adorable.
Content ~ Dark Lady...some blood wounds...and a very, very suggestive scene between Selene and Damien..
Romance ~ I just can't contain my inner fangirl rn-- *extreme fangirl mode* -- It. Was. So. Cute. 💕💕💕💕😍😍😍😻😻😻😻 ALL THE SCENES LEFT ME GRINNING EAR-TO-EAR AND PERHAPS GIGGLING HAPPILY. *sighs dreamily* It was just so perfect. An arranged marriage with real love developing ..... so adorable. I could read about these two over and over and over again and never get tired of them.
Characters ~ They've been further developed since Flight of the Raven, and made into extremely loveable people. Emotions raged like never before inside of me--which is normal for every new book. ;P
Selene ~ Awww, I could relate to her so well, even though I've never been faced with any of those trying emotions. She's just such a loveable character, allowing the reader to understand her without blabbering how she feels or what she believes. The reader just understands cuz she shows instead of tells. >.< *squeals* You heard me right.
Damien ~ And oh, my poor heart. I could barely keep from crying every time he was upset over his brother. 😿 I understand him completely--having experienced such grief before--in loving someone so much, then they pass away. I loved how he was strong and yet weak at the same time, and how he was able to show instead of tell of the storm inside of him. How Selene just understood. ((Busse is amazing.... *inner fangirl*))
Taegis ~ Oh. How can anyone not love him??! The whole time I just kept saying, "Taegis, why aren't you married??!" Even though that question was answered. ;P
Karl ~ I can understand him. I just wish he weren't so aloof all the time. :P Although, there was a specific scene near the end I recall him showing his caring side. The soft part that's always hidden.
Amara ~ If only.... 💔😭😭😭😭💔
Breven ~ Fight hard. Never stop.
Overall ~ My emotions raged within this, from extremely happy to devastated. A Book that can do that deserves my praise, my support, and my five stars. It deserves your's too. ;)

Flight of the Raven is everything a second book needs to be. It's got intrigue, tension, and just the right ending to leave you satisfied yet wanting more. It begins where Mark of the Raven ends. Lady Selene must adjust to her new way of life as she searches for the true purpose of her gift of dreamwalking. Many fantasy stories that I've read feature quests and fast-paced action. Others burn slowly, building and developing into a beautiful story. The Ravenwood Saga is one such story. I lookMark of the Raven was one of my favorite reads of all time and this second installment did not disappoint. The settings and character interaction were so vivid, rich and full of life. Definitely the most enjoyable parts. There were plenty of good twists and page turning moments ... the Dark Lady, yeah, my bunny slippers are still hiding. Congrats to Busse for pulling me so deeply into Selene and Damien's "finally" kiss. Kisses, meh, I never care about them, but this was so, so good ;). On a down
I'm not sure I could write a review to do this book justice. I'll come back when I've collected my thoughts.

Flight of the Raven really digs deeper into the Light, and shows a little bit more of what it is all about. The fight of good versus evil is more evident in this installment, and it brought me everything I wanted out of the story and more. I found myself reading at every free moment, and allowed Selene and Damien to overtake my world for awhile.Busse does such a wonderful job at bringing the story to the forefront. I think Christians will see this automatically, but I also think that for those
Omg this boooook, the ending 😱😍😭😭😭 I can't wait for Cry of the Raven.
4.5 stars because THESE CHARACTERS ARE MY NEW CHILDREN AND I WILL PROTECT THEM WITH MY LIFE.
